What are class norms?
Class Norms are how we want to be treated and the norms are created by the class. At the beginning of the year, the class will discuss how to make our room a place where everyone feels safe, respected, cared for, and able to learn Through several class meeting, students will decide on what they feel should be the class norms. Since the class came up with the norms, they believe in the norms established and are more invested in them. Basically, they, the class, have told themselves how to behave, rather than being told how to behave.
