What are Clark’s admissions criteria?
When we review applications we focus on five main areas. First we assess your high school curriculum for academic rigor and to see how you have challenged yourself in your academics through AP or honors courses and/or by taking at least four or five academic courses all four years. Next we look at your grades. In general, strong candidates present a transcript with a consistent A/B average. Our average GPA for admitted students is a 3.5. Finally, we will look at your SAT or ACT scores, your recommendations (including any interviews you complete), and your extracurricular activities (which includes a review of your essay). We take a holistic approach to reading applications and try to get as complete a picture of prospective students as possible. Visit the Dean of Admissions blog.
