What are CIPD professional standards?

0

A key objective of the CIPD is the establishment, monitoring and promotion of standards and ethics for its profession. These defined standards have been devised to cover the knowledge, understanding and competence in the four vital fields which professionals of the future will require in order to meet the needs of their organisations: • Leadership and Management (field 1), • People Management and Development (field 2), • Their own personnel and development specialism, consisting of four elective courses (field 3) • Successful completion of these three fields plus a project known as the Dissertation and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) (field 4) leads to Graduate Membership of the CIPD. These are laid down for study programmes by the CIPD in conjunction with education providers. For information, please contact the CIPD on 020 8971 9000, or visit www.cipd.co.
