What are CIDAs priorities for bilateral programming in Brazil?
CIDA priorities in Brazil are guided by the Agency’s 2005-2010 Country Strategy for Brazil. During this five-year period, the Agency’s actions will be oriented toward two overarching goals; the equity challenges that Brazil faces and the role that Canada’s cooperation program can play in strengthening and diversifying the overall Canada-Brazil relationship. Between 2005 and 2010, CIDA will concentrate its efforts in the areas of governance, health and the world of work in Brazil. Gender and ethnic equality and environmental management will constitute crosscutting themes for the program. Sections 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9 of this booklet include a detailed description of each sector.
