What are Chinese tea trays?
Usually when you refer to a tea tray you are probably thinking of a regular tea tray that is a part of a silver tea set, used to serve black tea. Alternatively, you may think of a tea serving tray, where poured cups of tea are set and served out to guests. This is a typical English tea tray, sometimes a metal tea tray or a silver tray or a regular, porcelain tray are used. The Chinese tea tray, on the other hand, is vastly different than this. Most Chinese trays are made from wood, although there are also some metal gong fu tea trays available. Tea trays are a part of every Chinese tea set; they may be bought as a separate item or included when you purchase a complete set. The teapots, tea cups and other tea accessories are usually all set on top of the wooden tea tray. They are highly functional and often very decorative as well.
