What are Chinas main national goals?
It’s really a matter of the Chinese Communist Party leadership’s main goals, since they are in charge. Their goals are as follows:
1. Maintain regime security (i.e., keep the Party in charge).
2. Keep living standards in China rising steadily through consistent healthy economic growth.
3. Improve China’s external security situation.
4. Gain foreign recognition of China as the leading country in Asia and one of the makers of the rules of global affairs.
