What are Chicago screws and how do I care for them?
Chicago screws are decorative leather screws usually used in belts. They are generally made of brass or nickle plated brass and consist of a male and female portion. We use these screws in the harness of our shoulder rigs and in our MSP Paddle Holster. Once you are sure of the correct positioning of the screws in your holster or harness, they should be “glued” with LOK-TITE. Use a removable strength LOK-TITE. To remove screws that have been LOK-Tited, simply turn the screw clockwise to break the seal and then unscrew.
