What are Chatham county schools like?
I have read plenty of what the Wake and Durham county schools are like, as well as the Chapel Hill/Carrboro district. My husband got a job in Chapel Hill, and we will be moving down there this summer with our two kids. I know that Chapel Hill/Carrboro has the best reputation, but the housing in that district is so expensive. There are reasonably priced, nice houses with a Chapel Hill address in north Chatham county, so I was wondering if anyone had any input on what the schools there are like. We’re willing to pay the Chapel Hill prices if those schools are significantly better than the alternatives but I’d like to know a little more about what those alternatives are.
