What are chat channels and how do I use them?
Chat channels are filters on who you speak to in the game. If you only want to speak to a single person, you have to select the Whisper chat channel, as that filters out all the other players. The current chat channels include: i. Talk: (default) Your words can be seen by any who are near you. ii. Whisper: You select a person to talk to, put his or her name in the first blank, then type what you want to say in the second blank. Nobody else will hear, or see what you say. iii. Team: Every player in your team will get messages sent in this channel. iv. Guild: All guild members can read your messages in this channel. If you don’t belong to a guild, you can’t use this chat channel. v. Friend: All of your friends will be able to see your message. vi. Service: If a GM (game master) is online, they will receive your message immediately.
