What are charitable grants?
Charitable grants are given to tax-exempt organizations for activities, events, and programs related to cardiac disease states, conditions, and treatment for which St. Jude Medical products are used. Charitable grants include cardiac-related: • Fundraisers • Public and health care professional-in-training education and awareness • Other monetary grants to charitable organizations Grants for professional education programs that offer continuing education credits and grand rounds must satisfy the requirements for professional education grants, even if the requesting organization is a tax exempt organization. The St. Jude Medical Foundation will continue to review and decide on all fellowship and research funding requests during 2008. It is possible fellowships and research funding requests will become part of our Grants Program in 2009.
