What are CEO Bragging Rights?
Bragging Rights are provable facts, good enough to brag about. They are usually overlooked until a good measurement program is installed. One client, with a systems staff of over 3000, was recently considering “Outseasing” a central table maintenance function. When I measured it I found the team had achieved a productivity delivery rate five times (5X) better than associated teams and a quality rate ten times (10X) better than the proposed overseas agent. Their story had become a “CEO Bragging Right” that was totally overlooked until we applied measurements. Ten minutes into a half-hour review with the CIO, he stopped the meeting. “Would you like additional resources?” He asked.
