What are Causes of Osteoarthritis in Wrist?
• Although it is essentially a wear and tear process OA seldom develops in a wrist that was previously normal. The wear and tear process is nearly always accelerated by predisposing factors are comminuted fracture of the lower end of the radius bone of the forearm with involvement of the articular surface, fracture of the scaphoid bone of the wrist complicated by deficient blood supply causing necrosis of the distal fragment, dislocation of the wrist bone (lunate) and long-established rheumatoid arthritis.
