What are carbohydrates, and are some carbohydrates better than others (such as whole grains)?
Carbohydrates are a major constituent of our diet. Those are molecules that are made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. They constitute the main source of fuel for the body. And sources of carbohydrates would be for instance grains, bread, rice, pasta, fruits, vegetables, fiber. These are all sources of carbohydrate. They’re essential for good health. And it is the largest, again, constituent of our diet.
