What are calculator stickers for and how do I get one?
Certain courses allow the use of calculators for examinations and tests yet some calculators have the ability to store functions and communicate with other devices. To ensure that students do not have an unfair advantage, the University has chosen a basic make and model (Casio 991) for use with tests and examinations. This make and model of calculator does not require a sticker and can be purchased at the Campus Bookstore. If you have a calculator that is not a Casio 991 and is not programmable and non-communicating, you can get a gold calculator sticker that will allow it to be used in place of the approved model. Some instructors allow the use of programmable calculators as long as they cannot communicate with other devices. These special calculators can receive a red sticker. See here for more information on how to get a calculator sticker.
