Usually one must own a Cockatoo or an Amazon now or in the recent past in order to qualify to adopt one from BPP. (These can be difficult species of parrots to deal with.) Other qualifications may apply. In some cases, just proof of large parrot ownership is sufficient instead of proof of the same species ownership. It depends on the particular parrot’s personality that we have available.
