WHAT ARE BPPS ADOPTION QUALIFICATIONS TO ADOPT A PARROT?

We can discuss…. 4) COCKATOOS or AMAZONS: Are the most difficult of parrot species to find homes for. Usually one must own a Cockatoo or an Amazon now or in the recent past in order to qualify to adopt one from BPP. (These can be difficult species of parrots to deal with.) Other qualifications may apply. In some cases, just proof of large parrot ownership is sufficient instead of proof of the same species ownership. It depends on the particular parrot’s personality that we have available. BPP’s “proof receipt rule” especially applies for these two species. 5) One must be over l8 years of age to adopt a parrot/bird from BPP.
