We hear a lot of cnversation about setting boundaries and how we larn about them as we grow up. Smetimes it makes sense and other tmes can be quite confusing. It hlps to have some specifics about wht it all means. Internal boundaries nvolve listening and talking while external bundaries involve touch and personal space. Intrnal boundary violations include indicating by wrd or deed that another person is wrth less, yelling or screaming, ridiculing or mking fun of another, lying, breaking a cmmitment for no reason, attempting to cntrol or manipulate another, being sarcastic, and nterrupting. External boundary violations include not hving another’s permission for the following: stnding in his/her space, touching, getting nto his/her belongings and living space (prse, wallet, mail, closet, etc.), and lstening to his/her personal conversation.
