What are Blackout Blinds?
Blackout blinds are window blinds that have slightly larger slats (think 2 inch or 2 ½ inch) and that have either no holes for the strings (called routeless blinds) or have cloth tapes that go over the holes to reduce the amount of light that’s let in through those holes. Blackout window blinds operate just like regular window blinds, except they block out more light when closed.
