What are binding and non-binding estimates?
A non-binding estimate requires you to pay based on the actual weight of your shipment and the actual services performed. A binding estimate is a price that is guaranteed unless additional services are requested that are not specifically listed on your original binding estimate. You must complete additional paperwork for any service to be added to your shipment or for any items added to your shipment. i.e.: Nothing in the attic, crawl space, shed are being moved – then on load day, you change your mind and want them to go to your new home. i.e.: You didn’t get as much packing done before the movers arrived. i.e.: You want more valuation coverage then you first agreed on. There are other services that may arise at destination that you were not aware of. The truck may not be able to get close enough to your home; therefore a shuttle truck would be needed.
