What are Bezoar Stones and Mustika Pearls?
Bezoar stones as normally understood, are calculus concretions that may be found in the digestive systems of man and animals. They are objects that often appear as ordinary stones though some may have unusual characteristics. We appropriate the term “Mustika pearls” to refer to stones that are found in animals, plants, and in Nature–stones that are formed out of unusual events or anomalies–even through paranormal events such as materializations; in our usage of the word, pearls known as “bezoar stones” are also covered. We often use these two terms interchangeably disregarding the common definition of the word “bezoar.” Technically, bezoars are regarded as productions of a pathological condition in the body of a creature (mostly mammals) but with therapeutic applications, whereas mustikas are formed as a result of a superabundance of vital force.
