What are BeWell Numbers?

BeWell Numbers are free health screenings, offered in 2010 to eligible employees at a convenient on-campus location, comprising a series of seven assessments that help analyze your risk for heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome. BeWell Numbers consist of the following health screenings: • Total Cholesterol* • High Density Lipoprotein (HDL)* • Glucose* • Blood Pressure • Body Mass Index (Height and Weight) • Body Fat (Skin-fold) • Waist Circumference * These are FASTING, finger stick tests. Fasting means no food or drinks eight hours prior to your appointment. Exceptions are black coffee, tea and water. No gum or candy prior to tests. Participation in BeWell Numbers consists of all the above screenings. You must complete all screenings to receive credit. This event is required for benefits-eligible university employees to move on to create a wellness plan; collect the $50 (taxable) wellness reward, and then continue on to Step 3.
