I studied philosophy and they didn’t teach any Eastern philosophy, which is more holistic and profound. I would have loved to study Indian philosophy, it has much more wisdom and higher knowledge that what they teach in the West. I did my dissertation on Zen Buddhism. Philosophy is Greek for love of wisdom. Wisdom has many benefits to your body, heart, mind and spirit. I found much more holistic and profound philosophy than what they taught in the writings of people like Alan Watts and Llama Anagarika Govinda. Some they taught on the course were good, like Plato and Wittgenstein. I didn’t find the qualification made me more employable but I’m glad I did the course. I am a lover of wisdom. I would say the benefits of studying philosophy are: 1) An expansion and deepening of the mind. 2) The wisdom to know the best course of action. 3) A forum to discuss profound questions of the meaning of life. 4) In your case a chance to study Indian philosophy which has a fountain of wisdom. 5) Any b
