What are benefits of modern day China compared to Maos China?
Actually, hunger wasn’t a problem with Mao’s China, although freedom (or a lack of it) was the biggest problem the people had to deal with. Today people are free to dress as they choose and there is some freedom of religion. There is more freedom of movement than before, and people have the opportunity to invest in business and make a lot of money. Crime is on the rise and the poor have virtually no rights if they interfere with the economic progress of the elite.
