What are benefits of hydrogen fuel cells?
Hydrogen is a good fuel as each molecule will produce two electrons to be used to do work at a relatively good fuel-output ratio. The only product of hydrogen itself is water, also, making it a clean medium. Unfortunately, as it stands, hydrogen is not an energy source in itself, and must rely on processes that take up energy from a primary source, such as electrolysis or production from fossil fuels. In the future, however, we may be able to produce hydrogen without the use of fossil fuels or nuclear reactions to produce the primary energy, such as by collecting it from termites or algae, making it a good bio-fuel.
