What are Benefit Specialists and what do they offer?
See the answer in American Sign Language There are three kinds of benefit specialists in Wisconsin: Disability Benefit Specialists (DBS), Elderly Benefit Specialists (EBS) and Work Incentives Benefit Specialists (WIBS). Benefit specialists provide information about a wide range of public and private benefits programs. Disability Benefit Specialists are part of the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). They work with people who are ages 18-to-59 who live in the ADRC service area. Some of the programs that the Disability Benefit Specialist can help you with are Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), and FoodShare. The Disability Benefit Specialist can help you to understand, apply for, and appeal decisions for these, and other programs.
