Bat bugs are very small insects almost identical to the bed bug. The difference between the two is indistinguishable to the naked eye. Bed bugs however rely on humans as a food source while the bat bug depends on the presence of bats. Bat bugs can enter your home and will occasionally bite humans, if bats are not present, however they cannot survive indefinitely with out bats as their host.
