What are baggage restrictions for international travel?
A. It is best to contact your specific carrier for their rules and regulations, however most airlines baggage allowance for coach class is two pieces at 70 pounds each, and no one piece can exceed 62 inches. Airlines also allow one carry on bag with a maximum dimension of 45 inches and maximum weight of 15 pounds, plus a personal item such as a purse, briefcase, backpack or similar. They must fit in the closed overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Should any of your luggage be larger or weigh more than the above amounts the airline reserves the right to charge an overweight fee and/or check your carry-on bag.
