What are back-lit and side-lit object cells?
-lit object cells have a transparent or translucent back side to them, allowing light to enter then from the back. The best way to view these scopes is to point the scope directly at a light source. A side-lit object cell typically has an opaque back side, and must receive its lighting through the side of the cell. To view this type of scope, you must direct the light source from the side of the scope. Usually this type of scope has a black background in its image.
