What are attunements?
Attunements are rituals of human empowerment or of initiation, passed down from a Reiki Master/Teacher directly to a student by using Mikao Usui’s teachings. Any Reiki practitioner or student, needs to receive these attunements (in person or at a distance), in order to re-align with the higher energy and open up the chakra points. To make it simpler, to get reiki “attunements” is similar to helping someone tuning to a radio station. The clearer the transmission gets, the faster and better one can receive and apply reiki. Without attunements and initiations, a person cannot be a Reiki practitioner. And the more attunements a reiki student receives, the better he/she will develop spiritually, reaching higher frequency levels of vibrational energy, and being able to understand the intricate functioning of these energies.
