It is important that presenters be aware that media representatives may be in the audience for a presentation. These people may not be easily distinguished from academic colleagues. Any presentation at a conference is public unless it has been specifically arranged for attendance at that session “by invitation only”. Do not make remarks at presentations which are not for public dissemination.
