What are Arnolds veto powers?
A veto stops a bill that has been approved by the legislature from becoming law. The executive (governor or president) cannot veto or ignore a law that has already been passed and enacted, either signed by them or a previous executive, or (for federal and some state laws) passed by a 2/3 majority after the veto. If the executive doesn’t like the law, they can ask the legislature to change or repeal it. But that’s the only legal option.
