DBA can monitor the following areas to do fine tuning of the database : Processes Sessions Tables(Locks etc) SQL Area Library Cache Latch Locks File I/O System I/O Rollback Segments Statistics (System, Sessions) Apart from this all DBA activities can be performed through SQLDBA command.
