What are appropriate applications for a Type 2 light screen?
A Type 2 light screen is an effective and low-cost safeguard in applications where severity of injury is slight, requiring only first aid and no prolonged medical attention. Typical applications include: small assembly equipment, automated production equipment, “table-top” robotic work cells, “pick and place” machines, small packaging machines, equipment protection (i.e. non-personnel safety), and supplemental safeguarding.
