What are anonymous hosting and anonymous domain name?
When someone gets interested in finding out what hosting company hosts a particular project and who owns a particular domain, they usually turn to WHOIS services. Typing in your domain name, they instantly retrieve information about who you are and where you host. If you violate certain copyright laws, for example, your hosting company will suspend your account once they receive a letter from an affected party. Anonymous hosting is a real obstacle in the way of curious minds. Now, when they type in your domain name in the WhoIs lookup service, they get NO information about where you host. In addition, if your domain name has been privately registered, they have virtually no means to reach you because the domain is registered to a third party that is beyond the reach of virtually any government or law enforcement agency.
