WHAT ARE ALL THOSE LITTLE ICONS THAT APPEAR NEXT TO SOME LINK t*tLES MEAN?
Here is a link to a graphic that explains what each of the little icons means. I hope that wasn’t too confusing. As of this version of the software: Popularity is calculated by a combination of votes and rating. In order not to skew results so that items that recieve one vote with a high rating aren’t weighted the same as items receiving 20 votes the system allows me to set a minimum number of votes after which the item’s votes are counted and weighted. An average of all ratings are taken for every item that reaches the minmum vote plateau to calculate link popularity. The minimum vote count and rating values I set in order for a link to be popular is a natonal security secret But let’s take an example: Lets say the minimum number of votes to enable link rating = 10, and the Minimum rating for a link to be POP = 4) Link A (avg. rating 4.5, 5 votes) NOT POP Link B (avg. rating 3.9, 80 votes) NOT POP Link C (avg. rating 4.5, 12 votes) POP Link D (avg. rating 4, 10 votes) POP ————
