What are all the different branches of Christianity?

0

This is a *very* partial list of the basic branches, off the top of my head and general for brevity’s sake:

Roman Catholicism -created through a schism in 1055

Eastern Orthodoxy -created through a schism in 1055

Protestantism- created through schism from Roman Catholicism, started in 1517

There are thousands of Protestant denominations, but here are a few of the main groupings:

Lutheran

Methodist/Wesleyan

Anglican, aka Episcopal, aka Church of England

Baptists (numerous categories)

Presbyterian, aka Church of Scotland

Pentecostal/Charismatic (Assembly of God, Church of God, Apostolic, Full Gospel, etc)

Latter-Day Saints, aka Mormons

Jehovah’s Witnesses

Unitarians/Universalist

Christian Scientists

I could point you toward some more detailed information if need be.

Judaic Christianity Antiochian Christianity Greek Orthodoxy Eastern Orthodoxy Roman Catholicism Anglicanism Protestantism (Lutheranism, Calvinism, Baptists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, etc) Mormonism Unitarianism

Catholic is the very first and largest. But through time, power, greed, corruption, and different views have led others to make changes to the Catholic faith and start their own branch.

To many to name, most are cults that conflict with Christianity
