What are all of the categories presented at the top of my search results page?
We call those filters – they sort your results in a useful way, enabling you to see at a glance what is included with in your complete search result. Categories include: Organizations, Subjects, Executives, Keywords, and Sources. Those keywords with the most results are shown first. Use them to narrow and broaden your search as needed. Use the Hide All/See More links to the right to expand the list and see more keyword filters. Add or exclude filters as needed. For example, search for Microsoft. Then filter results to include only those articles that also include references to Microsoft’s competitors, Google and Apple, by mousing over them and clicking Add Company. (You’ll see them added to your search query under the main search box.) Your results will include references to all three companies. If your results get too narrow, remove keyword filters by mousing over them and clicking Delete. Refine results using keyword filters until satisfied.
