Iron Maiden is a British heavy metal band from east London. The band was formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris and has released 15 studio albums, seven live albums, four EPs and five compilation albums. Maiden has a very distinct style of playing with a crystal clear driving rhythm section, dueling harmonized guitar lines and falsetto vocals. The band’s lyrical subjects are fairly similar to other metal bands and range from mysticism and mythology to war and generally dark periods of human history.
