What are AHRC Block Grant Partnerships (BGPs)?

0

From 2009 the AHRC is making studentship funding available through two routes: Block Grant Partnerships (BGPs) with universities, and a new open competition for candidates at universities which do not have Block Grant Partnerships. Cambridge University is participating in the AHRC Block Grant Partnership (BGP) scheme, and the University has accordingly submitted a bid to the AHRC for Research Master’s, Professional Master’s and Doctoral awards in a number of subject areas for the initial 5-year period covered by BGP scheme (from October 2009). Universities will be informed of the outcome of their bids by the end of February 2009; in the meantime Cambridge University is inviting applications from eligible candidates for all the subject areas and types of awards included in our AHRC BGP bid – see Department Contact list for the list of possible eligible areas of study. Your department will advise you about the eligibility of your particular MPhil course/research project.
