What Are Advantages & Disadvantages Of Face To Face Interview?
Advantages – it allows the interviewer to observe the candidates facial expressions/ body language which in turn will give the interviewer a clearer indication of the candidates true, honest feelings/ emotions. Also, the candidate is more likely to provide the interviewer with more information in terms of ‘open-ended’ questions as they may feel more comfortable/ open speaking just one-on-one. Another advantage would be that the interviewer can pass a clearer/ stronger judgement of the candidate as they are face-to-face. Disadvantages – it is very time-consuming for an interview to take place. Also, the interviewer will have to take into consideration all of the ethical/ legal issues and requirements involved when conducting the interview with the candidate, which is again, time-consuming.
