What are advantages and disadvantages of cooking ranges over other instruments like microwave?
In major cities in India, like New Delhi, people with careers opt for restaurant, take-out, or delivery for food. In my opinion, this is due to the fact that in India, prepared food is cheap. Therefore, most Indian people with careers would rather spend the time working than preparing meals. The biggest advantage of a cooktop is the ability for people to prepare home-cooked meals which, in most areas, are much cheaper than commercially prepared foods. A microwave has a very limited cooking function. It’s use is mainly to reheat food, defrost food, or cook out-of-the-box meals designed specifically for a microwave. It would be impossibly to make something like stir-fry noodles in a microwave due to the need to “stir” and to cook with variable heat (super hot to fry, medium heat to simmer).
