What Are Adrenal Gland Disorders?
If you look inside of your body, on top of your kidney you will see two small orange colored endocrine glands called your adrenal glands. They are small and triangular in shape, but they are extremely important to the way your body functions. They work with the pituitary gland as well as the hypothalamus in your brain to produce different hormones that keep your body healthy. They help with almost every tissue, gland and organ in your body and they even affect the way we think at times. They also are important to maintain your blood sugar levels which can especially important in the case of certain diseases. Even though for the most part, adrenal glands are helpful to your body, there are also times when the adrenal glands can produce to much or too little of the adrenal hormones which can lead to disorders that can possibly be life threatening.
