A. These challenges are what you might expect from pre-pubescent 11-14 year olds! Stay well informed about your child’s friends as they are the greatest influence on each other at this age. This age is also known for cliques, gossip and some bullying. Have straightforward conversations with your child, and know that the school takes bullying very seriously. Cyber bullying is usually done outside of school so be aware that this becomes a matter parents must closely monitor.
