If a student’s citizenship status is not confirmed by the FAFSA Central Processor, a missing information letter will be sent to the student advising her/him of the requirement to verify citizenship status. Federal law requires that applicants submit verification documents within established timeframes. Failure to do so will result in the denial of financial aid for that academic year. The missing information letter will advise applicants of these timeframes.
