What are academic advisers?
Every new student is assigned upon arrival to an academic adviser (usually a faculty member), an academic counselor, and a peer adviser. Majors are declared in the second semester of the sophomore year, at which point a new academic adviser is assigned in the department(s) of the major(s). Before every registration period, a face-to-face meeting with the academic adviser is required.
