What are absolute and relative linking?
Absolute linking is when you put in the full address to the page, for example http://www.cnc.bc.ca/its/help.htm whereas relative linking is linking a page relative to the current page. For example, if you are adding a link on a page within the its folder already, you do not need the full path: http://www.cnc.bc.ca/its , you just need the path relative to that folder, for example test.htm (which is already in the its folder). In the CMS, to add a relative link highlight what you want linked, click the link button and select the page on the Internal Link page. You can also go to the External Link tab, select Other from the drop down box, and enter the relative path. To add an absolute link, highlight what you want linked, click the link button, choose the External Link tab, and enter the full link address there.
