What are a vendors responsibilities relative to its sub-vendors?
Each vendor is responsible for establishing and maintaining adequate controls and monitoring procedures over its sub-vendors. These controls should include a properly executed written contract, periodic progress and fiscal reports, site visits, and review of audit reports. All human services sub-vendors with cost reimbursement contracts totaling over $100,000 should have an audit performed in accordance with the DHMH Audit Divisions Standards for Audit of Human Services Sub-vendors.
