What are a Transfer Applicant and a General Applicant?
If you are a current tenant of Chesterfield Borough Council you will be known as a transfer applicant as you want to transfer from one property to another. Some properties that are advertised will give preference to transfer applicants bidding on the property. All other applicants will be known as a general applicant. You will normally only be able to transfer properties if you are a secure tenant.
