What are a pump installers responsibilities?
A pump installer must: • install the pitless adapter unit (if used), the pump, the pressure tank and other associated piping and equipment in compliance with the code; • disinfect the pump distribution system after installation; flush it; take a water sample for bacteriological analysis and report the results to the owner. • The pump installer may delegate the water sample collection to the well owner or another agent.
