What are a Catholic priests duties regarding daily prayers and saying Mass?
No obligation as to daily Mass, but definitely for the Liturgy of the Hours, aka Divine Office. Reasons for any law/rule and optional devotional exewrcise are (a) praying with and for the Church in and through CHRIST THE ONE HIGH PRIEST for the Church’s growth in holiness and (b) the cleric’s own growth in the Faith, to preserve or grow in his life of virtue, AND to get the Holy Spirit’s guidance in serious prayer to understand the Gospel so as to be able to minister and preach to others and be rid of false cultural values and prejudices which affect all sinful humans.
