What are 10 reasons why homeschool is better than Public School or Private School?
It’s not better for everyone, but for me it was better. Some of the reasons why include: 1) I got to work at a speed and grade level appropriate for me. Without teachers there to punish me for being capable of working faster or doing more advanced work, the focus of my education became making sure I really understood the material and was comfortable before moving on, not trying to hold myself back to avoid getting in trouble. 2) I got to spend more time on my interests, like music, creative writing, and Japanese language and culture studies. 3) I had opportunities my small school district could not provide me. Had I stayed in school here, my only language options would have been French and Spanish (which isn’t bad, but I’m not interested in French or Spanish language and culture as I am in Japanese language and culture). 4) Kind of related to point 1, but I got to start taking college-level classes when I was 15.
